Development of Civil Enclave at Bhatinda
The Government of Punjab pursued the case of Airport at Bhatinda for increased connectivity to the underserved Malwa region. Around 40 acres of land was acquired by the Government of Punjab at a cost of Rs. 3.55 crore at Village Virk Kalan, Bathinda for the construction of Civil Air Terminal and handed over to Airports Authority of India (AAI) free of cost. The construction of the civil enclave building has been completed. Air services under RCS-UDAN scheme have commenced from April’2017.
