Development of Civil Enclave at Adampur, Jalandhar
Government of Punjab pursued the case of Airport at Adampur for increased connectivity to the Doaba region which has a lot of diaspora around the world. This would make it easier for Punjabis’ visiting from abroad to connect from Delhi. The permission for construction of a Civil Enclave was sought and obtained from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Around 40 acres of land was acquired by the Government of Punjab at a cost of Rs. 16 crore at Village Kandola, Adampur, Jalandhar for the construction of Civil Air Terminal and handed over to Airports Authority of India (AAI) free of cost.Air services under RCS-UDAN scheme have commenced from 1st May’ 2018.
